Welcome to our family’s 2014 Advent Angel adventures!
Over the past 3 years, our family has grown, and our Advent Angel knows we need to keep things simple, but start a few new things, too! So this year, we are posting weekly with the full list of materials and activities linked for each day…starting this Saturday, November 29th!
What is an Advent Angel?
The Advent Angel is a fun and budget-friendly way to keep Christ in our family’s home during the Advent season. Inspired by the antics of “Elf on a Shelf,” we’ve merged the same concept with some Catholic catechesis and are proud to introduce our Advent Angel!
Each morning, starting with the first Sunday of Advent our Advent Angel will appear somewhere in the house with a project and reflection to get us ready for Jesus’ birthday celebration!
We’ve made it easy to join in the fun- each week we’ll post the supplies for Advent projects and some photos of what our Advent Angel is doing. Our family uses an angel figurine that we found among the Christmas decorations, so rummage through the attic or get crafty, but don’t feel like you have to spend $29.95 at the bookstore to be a part of this! If you already have an elf, join in by having your elf bring the Advent projects each day.
See you on Saturday!
